I provide short and long-term psychotherapy to adults, couples, families and adolescents in Berkeley. My approach combines both traditional western depth-psychological theory and eastern philosophy. I offer compassionate support for where you are and challenge you to move towards further growth and understanding.
I can help you to expand your awareness of how the difficulties you face in your life, particularly in relationship to others, are represented internally and externally in the present moment. Specifically, I teach you to recognize how the repetitive patterns of how you hold/move your body, how you respond to your emotions and your mind’s thoughts affect your life.
This expanded awareness gives you more choices in how to relate to others. It also helps you to understand and resolve internal conflicts, and it enables you to let go of old emotions and beliefs associated with past wounding. These outcomes provide the opportunity for living a fuller, more energetic, life.
