I have always been drawn to what occurs under the surface, especially what underlies human behavior.

Since I can remember, I have recognized that there is a whole world unseen and unknown by our usual senses, and this world has tremendous power and potential. In my early years, this awareness of the unconscious was a blessing and sometimes overwhelming. However, as time has gone on, and I’ve continued to study psychology and see clients, I have found that this capacity is a blessing as it helps me to be of service to my clients.

I am passionate about this work and hold the position of psychotherapist with respect and and humility, particularly because I know how challenging and vulnerable it is to seek therapy. In my work with clients, I pull from a variety of practices in order to bring a balance of attention between mind and body so that I am able to listen attentively.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from California Institute for Integral Studies. I am also a Certified Hakomi Therapist, a psychotherapeutic approach that combines Buddhist principles and mind-body awareness.

The following are my professional affiliations:

  • Northern California Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology (NCSPP)
  • The Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California (PINC)
